General meetings are held about once a month on Wednesdays in room 201 at 8 a.m.  All members are notified in advance of the exact dates.  Activities include preparation and tasting of typical foods, videos, games, listening to Hispanic music, seeing typical dances, and participation in an annual fund-raiser.

    Continuing project - In 1998 the Spanish Club decided to help support an underprivileged child in Chile, South America through the organization Children International.  Our little boy is named Mateus Noe Espinoza Silva and he is now 8 years old.  With money earned from our annual fall skull lollipop sale we are helping to provide medical, dental, and educational assistance to Mateus.  We receive letters and photos of Mateus twice a year.  The club members also write letters in Spanish to him.  We hope to continue this worthwhile project for many years.

    Membership is open to all students with an interest in Spanish.
