Wow, what a great tribute to Mr. Burrows. My sister and I both took his class. She graduated in 1974 and I graduated in '77 with you. It is a shame that you have lost your notes. I have still held onto my notes from the Junior and Senior years. I wasn't enlightened enough to have gotten into his class the sophomore year. A pity because I would have loved to hear his lectures from that period. I remember my sister let me use her notes from when she had him to help me in my junior year and they just weren't as complete as he was asking us to do. So all the reading and research he did between those years was an added "bonus" to us. I am also redoing my Europe pictures from the trip we took in '76. It was a wonderful trip and the only time I have been to Europe. Mr. Burrows made a big impact on my life. I now have two small children of my own and only hope that they will be fortunate enough to find a teacher like Mr. Burrows along their path of education. They are truly so impressionable and need to be molded with good values, morals and ethics that seems to be scarce in mainsteam culture and education. My sister became an elementary school teacher in Michigan. I was computer programming trainer in the corporate world before the birth of my second child. I am now a full-time mom and part-time personal trainer. I enjoyed all the articles you included on him and the reminiscing on his life and teaching. He was definitely a special man. Thanks for all your work on this page. Kathy Hobaugh-Capron, Duluth East Class of 1977
