The Robert Burrows Scholarship
Each year the Robert Burrows Scholarship is awarded to two East High students of high academic achievement. The scholarship committee seeks students who, like Mr. Burrows, value learning for learning's sake. Mr. Burrows had a small part in determining the criteria for the scholarship recipients.
Each scholarship winner received $500 in 1983, the scholarship's first year. The amount of the scholarship has increased over the years, and in the years 2000 - 2006 each winner received $1500. In 2007 each winner received $1750.
