Thomas Jefferson would have participated in CJML, if it had existed in 1758.

The Central Jersey Math League (CJML) is a local math competition club with approximately twenty member high schools. Member schools pay annual dues and designate a staff member (a "coach") to function as club advisor, organizing a team of interested students. Member teams have the opportunity to participate in eight CJML contests each season, with one contest taking place each month from September through April. Six of the contests are conducted as "meets", where each member school is allowed to send up to ten students on a bus with their coach to visit a hosting high school. Hosting schools provide a contest arena (typically a cafeteria) and a light meal afterwards (typically pizza) for which they are reimbursed by the CJML. Member high schools are asked to occasionally serve as host, though not every member school needs to do so. At the end of the season the top-performing students are invited to travel to the national ARML competition with the Central Jersey team.
