GenesisThis class is graded on a 'total points' basis.
Everything a student gets credit for earns points, and at the end of a marking period a student's grade is based on the points earned.
A rubric that associates points earned with a grade will be posted in the final two weeks of the marking period. Any letter grade or percentage that Genesis
lists will be wrong. If you have a question about how your child is doing in the class, it is best to e-mail the teacher at: jstevens [at] metuchenhigh.org.

Read Chapter 4 of Java Concepts, 6th Edition. Starting on page 142, answer
questions R4.1, R4.2, R4.6, R4.7, R4.8, R4.11, R4.12, R4.16 and R4.17 from the Review
Exercises. Also, answer programming question P4.4. This exercise is worth 8 points.
Due Monday, Oct. 5:
Read sections 1 - 8 of Chapter 3 of Java Concepts, 6th Edition. (If you are interested in
doing graphics and GUIs in Java, you can read section 9.) Starting on page 105, answer questions
R3.2, R3.4, R3.5, R3.6, R3.7, R3.11, R3.12, R3.13 and R3.15 from the Review Exercises.
Also, answer programming questions P3.6 and P3.8. This homework is worth 8 points.
